Charity

From the beginning of its entrepreneur activities CS CABOT always puts the emphasis on a support of the local voluntary and non profit organizations in a form of donation and sponsorship.

All donation activities of the company are thoroughly directed to the area of former Vsetin region and first of all into Valasske Mezirici area.
For its activities in this area CS CABOT has been recognised so that we have been offered constituent membership in the club of company donators of Czech Republic - DONATOR.

We have received this honour as the only company registered in Moravia.

 

CS CABOT and CABOT CORPORATION donation is fulfilled as follows:

A. CS CABOT FOUNDATION: This foundation in support of students was established in 1997 and during its existence it already supported roughly 100 students and paid off scholarships reaching nearly 3 million Czech korunas. Detail information about conditions of assigning scholarship can be found here.

B. THE BOARD FOR DONATION AND SPONSORSHIP: The goal of this board is to decide about support of nonprofit charitable activities and about whole management in support of NGO's within the region. The Board meets once a month to decide about all delivered applications for grants and advertising offers.

C. GLOBAL PROGRAMS OF CABOT CORPORATION:

1. Support of voluntary activities of employees: Based on nominations are in Boston head offices, every year selected and acknowledged  employees, eventually their relatives who work at no charge for any of charitable organization. Cabot Corporation subsequently donate financial grant of USD 2000, resp. USD 1000 to this organisation.

2. Support of local charitable projects:
In extraordinary cases, and on the basis of nomination of local Board for donation and sponsorship bigger charitable projects are supported, e.g.:

  • Hospice construction at Valasske Mezirici
  • Construction of the house on a half way realized by association Pod Kridly at Valasske Mezirici
  • Reconstruction of Charity Asylum House at Valasske Mezirici
